We recommend professional water testing at least once per week during the swim season (March–October) and every two weeks during winter. Your pool's chemistry can shift quickly due to rain, temperature changes, swimmer load, and pollen — all common in Georgia. Our weekly service includes a full test at every visit.

Every visit includes testing for free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, and cyanuric acid (CYA/stabilizer). We also check calcium hardness, salt levels (for saltwater pools), and phosphates or metals when conditions warrant. This comprehensive approach catches problems before they become visible.

Both types use chlorine to sanitize — a saltwater pool simply generates its own chlorine from dissolved salt using a salt chlorine generator (salt cell). Salt pools feel smoother on skin and eyes but require specific maintenance of the salt cell and different chemical balancing. Corey services both types extensively.

Basic chemical adjustments (chlorine, pH, alkalinity) are typically included in our weekly service plans. Larger chemical treatments — like shock treatments, CYA reduction, or phosphate removal — may incur additional costs depending on the amount needed. We're always transparent about pricing before adding anything.

You can handle basic testing and chlorine maintenance with a good test kit, but professional service ensures accuracy and catches subtle issues that test strips miss. Improperly balanced water can damage equipment, stain surfaces, and create unsafe swimming conditions.
